Raw Materials

ST Foods offers pigskin, fish and instant gelatin produced by Weishardt International. Weishardt in France and Tergel in Canada are exclusively dedicated to the production of pigskin gelatin, GeLiMa in Slovakia is specialised in the production of fish gelatins. These are obtained after acid or alkaline treatment.

Pigskins are collected in slaughterhouses, cutting plants and salting plants. These raw materials can be traced from receipt in the factory up to shipment of the gelatin. Gelatins Weishardt and GeLiMa are ISO 9001-2000 certified for the manufacture of gelatins.

All Weishardt gelatin is manufactured in modern installations, which are conform to strict sanitary rules. The veterinary and sanitary authorities carry out regular checks and a HACCP system is in place so that conditions are continuously being improved.
